Thank you for your interest in the summer sport/computer camp. This camp has been existence for the last 20 years. My Background is in sports psychology where I teach and advise students in this area. I am also very active in the Youth Sport Coalition where I make presentations on what children go through from an emotional, psychological , sociological, and physiological perspective. I have Also coached for eight years and have two daughters in Division 1 tennis at the Collegiate level. I have traveled across the country watching my daughters compete in sport and with that in mind, my main concern is making sport fun for children. This camp was developed to enhance self esteem, respect, and cooperation. As a physical education teacher, I am using the medium of sport to get this across. We also have a very relaxed computer activity component in the afternoon. It is not an academically driven program. However, the computer activity program does have minimal skills and challenges incorporated into it. All counselors have either a bachelor, master, or doctorate degree and know a lot about children. They are personally and carefully selected by me.
