The Graduate School prefers that you apply electronically, however, you may download the application, and mail it directly to the Graduate School at:

Please note: Applicants who have difficulty using the on-line application process may send materials directly to the Graduate School as one package. Materials should include:
- application
- application fee
- official transcripts
- in-state residency status form
- 3 letters of recommendation
- goal/research statement
- statement of experience (or resume)
- application for teaching assistsantship (Note: Teaching Assistantship applications can be found on the department website at http://sph.umd.edu/KNES/grad/_docs/ta_app.pdf )
- certification of finances (international students only)
- official GRE scores (GRE scores should be requested directly from ETS for electronic transmission to the University. The department code is 5814).
No materials should be sent to the department unless specifically directed by the office.
Depending upon the experience of the applicant there may be additional course work required to prepare the student for the graduate program in Kinesiology. Such course work will be determined by the faculty advisor.
