(Assistant Professor, Department of Health Services Administration) received her PhD in 2006 in health services organization and policy from Michigan. She was on the faculty at Rice before coming to UM in 2009. She has ~15 publications with research focused on health insurance coverage and health services utilization of vulnerable populations. She is currently mentoring a UM STAR who has been accepted into the Health Services Administration master’s program; he is examining hospital data to measure ambulatory care sensitive discharges related to CVD and to identify modifiable factors that improve these outcomes. She has already mentored two undergraduate and three graduate students over the course of her career.
