(Assistant Professor, MIAEH) received his PhD in 2005 from North Carolina in environmental sciences/engineering. He was then a postdoctoral fellow at Michigan and was on the University of South Carolina faculty before joining the UM in 2011. Dr. Wilson has >20 publications. He has developed a program on community engagement, environmental justice, and health to engage communities, advocacy groups, and policymakers in environmental justice and health disparities issues. He is trained in exposure science and applied environmental health including community-based exposure assessment, environmental justice science and health disparities, and community-based participatory research. He was funded for a summer environmental health research enrichment program for undergraduate students. He has >10 yrs experience mentoring undergraduate and graduate students and was part of a nationally-recognized UNC summer program to prepare students from minority groups in the sciences to apply for graduate school.
