Sunmin Lee, ScD(Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics) received her ScD in social epidemiology from the Harvard School of Public Health in 2001, and completed postdoctoral training in social epidemiology and aging also at Harvard. She joined the UM in 2006. She has published ~25 papers. Throughout her training she worked with graduate students, and at UM she has mentored PhD and MPH students. Dr. Lee has conducted a health needs assessment in Asian groups in Maryland. Currently, through a project to reduce health disparities in Asian Americans, she works with seven minority undergraduate students and two minority graduate students. She has mentored 1 UM STAR. Dr. Lee also has access to numerous large data sets which Trainees could use to investigate a number of topics.
