Join us to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the founding of the UMD School of Public Health.
While our heritage actually dates back much further, with the creation of the Department of Physical Culture (Kinesiology’s predecessor) in 1898, our school officially launched on September 27, 2007. Our predecessor College of Health and Human Performance transformed into a new School of Public Health, bringing together three existing departments (Kinesiology, Behavioral and Community Health and Family Science) with three new ones (Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Applied Environmental Health and Health Services Administration).

We want to hear from you.
Join us in the celebration wherever you are by sharing your stories. Alumni, friends, faculty, staff, and students, we are actively seeking your reflections, photos and thoughts about your experiences as a part of this SPH community. We want to share these stories at select events during the course of our anniversary year.
