Maryland Tobacco Disparities Maps

The information provided is based on the latest available data sources: the 2006 Maryland Youth Tobacco Survey (MYTS). Maps on this page only present a small part of disparities data by race/ethnicity. See the Maryland tobacco disparities reports for more statistics on disparites by race/ethnicity and socieconomic status.

(Instructions for the Figures: Each county is linked by color to an estimate in the right hand column of each graph. Each dot corresponds to the percentage of persons having a characteristic as estimated from the 2006 Maryland Youth Tobacco Survey (MYTS). The line segments extending from the dot show the 95% confidence limits for each point estimate. Non-overlapping confidence intervals for disjoint groups (e.g., Prince George's County and Montgomery County) mean that point estimates for different groups are statistically significantly different from each other. Estimates for some groups are not shown due to the insufficient sample sizes for the groups.)
