17 for Peace and Justice invites you to an environmental justice panel, with refreshments served. With current efforts within the United States Environmental Protection Agency to undermine regulations, programs,  and activities meant to protect the environment and human health, environmental justice communities may bear additional negative impacts. Panelists will discuss what the repeal of the Clean Power Plan means for environmental justice communities. They will also discuss implications of the recent environmental justice bill for environmental justice communities. In addition, panelists will look at what state agencies and non-profit organizations are doing to help and protect underserved and overburdened communities. Can we truly achieve environmental justice during this Age of Division and Hate?

Panelists:
Mustafa Ali, Vice President, Hip Hop Caucus
Tamara Toles O'Laughlin, Director, Maryland Environmental Health Network
Andrew Fellows, Leader of the UMD C3 Pilot
Sacoby Wilson, Maryland Institute for Applied Environmental Health
