Please join us for the second annual Global Health and Culture Lecture Series talk with Gates Foundation's Dr. Nicole Bates, who will tell "A Tale of Two Global Healths."
Dr. Nicole Bates is the deputy director for Global Program Advocacy at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and an affiliate associate professor in the Department of Global Health at the University of Washington. She is in charge of leading global advocacy and communications strategies for polio and vaccines. Before joining the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Dr. Bates worked as the Director for Government Relations at the Global Health Council.
The annual lecture facilitates interdisciplinary engagements focused on the social context of health among the University of Maryland College Park community, especially undergraduate students. The Global Health & Culture lecture series is a collaborative effort between the School of Public Health and the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences.
