Exercise physiology Professor Don Dengel from the University of Minnesota will present a talk on solutions for pediatric vascular dysfunction. Dr. Dengel's research focuses on body composition and its effects on insulin sensitivity and peripheral vascular function. Currently he is conducting a series of studies examining blood vessel structure and function and the metabolic syndrome in overweight and obese children before and after lifestyle modifications such as aerobic exercise training, weight loss and resistance training. All faculty and students are welcome to attend!
