Elaine A. Anderson, Ph.D., is Director of the Maryland Family Policy Impact Seminar. She is a Professor in the Department of Family Science, University of Maryland, College Park. Dr. Anderson is a former Congressional Science Fellow who has conducted policy research for several state legislatures as well as presidential campaigns. She has written numerous policy publications and conducted policy research on a variety of family policy issues, including homelessness, low-income fathers, mental health policy, and work policy.
Bonnie Braun, Ph.D., is Co-Director of the Maryland Family Policy Impact Seminar. She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Family Science, University of Maryland, College Park, and an Extension Family Life Specialist with 30 years of experience in family public policy. Dr. Braun is a Gladys Chalky-Fenn Visiting Public Policy Scholar with the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences and the chair of their Public Policy Committee. She is also a member of the National Council on Family Relations Public Policy Committee. Her research focuses on public policy and program issues related to low-income families.
Stephanie Grutzmacher, M.S., is Seminar Coordinator of the Maryland Family Policy Impact Seminar. She is a doctoral student in the Department of Family Science, University of Maryland, College Park, with research interests in resiliency, social welfare policy, international sustainable development, and civil and human rights.
