The Department of Family Science hosted a Grand Rounds lecture by Carolyn Tucker Halpern, PhD, professor and chair, Department of Maternal and Child Health in the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on March 7, 2018. Dr. Tucker Halpern is a developmental psychologist whose research aims to improve understanding of healthy sexual development and the implications of adolescent experiences for developmental and demographic processes into adulthood. Her talk was titled: “Start me up: Sexual initiation patterns and their implications (or lack thereof) for later sexual health."
