Dr. Cynthia Baur, director of the Herschel S. Horowitz Center for Health Literacy, spoke with Dr. Christine Prue, Associate Director for Behavioral Science, National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Disease, CDC about her life as a health communicator and behavioral scientist on the front lines of public health communication.

Dr. Rima Rudd, Harvard School of Public Health, also spoke about the role of health literacy in public health practice, research and education, the doctoral fellowship in her name and her history with the UMD School of Public Health.  

The event was held to observe the tenth anniversary of the UMD School of Public Health and the Horowitz Center.
