The Diamondback: UMD’s public health school is undergoing renovations that will create more office space
The School of Public Health will remodel a locker room in its building to expand its available lab space.
Plans call for the addition of kinesiology and aerobiology labs. The new aerobiology lab will provide new opportunities to study airborne contagious diseases such as influenza, Applied Environmental Health Professor Donald Milton, told the University's newspaper, The Diamondback.
"This new lab is something that has been long-awaited," Milton said.
