The Eatsmart website, which was developed to help Maryland families with limited budgets find dietary and fitness tips, was noted in the Washington Post.

The site was pioneered by Dr. Robert Gold and Dr. Nancy Atkinson of the Department of Public and Community Health. The effort was managed by Amy Billing and programmed by Daniel Kessler. Graduate students of the department worked to provide content. The site previously won an award.
