Terp Magazine recently published a profile on Public Health Science graduate Francine Baker who has overcome family tragedy and nursed her children through painful chronic illness to excel in her coursework and complete her bachelor's degree in December 2017.

Studying public health science was the right fit for Baker who completed her degree on the Universities at Shady Grove campus.

“It really fell in line with what I was already doing with my kids, just being an advocate, increasing my awareness and understanding of how the system works,” says Baker.
