Graciela Jascheck, MPH, Ph.D. '14, received her Ph.D. from the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics where she is now a research assistant professor. A former community organizer, Graciela was drawn to the social justice aspect of public health. She is particularly passionate about addressing the health needs of vulnerable or understudied populations. Graciela now serves as one of the faculty advisors for the Public Health without Borders student group working to solve public health challenges in developing countries, in partnership with the UMD Engineers without Borders group. This video profile was produced when Graciela was in her last year of her doctoral work.
