Spring 2020 Commencement
Friday, May 22 at 1:00 pm
Congratulations to the 2020 graduates of the School of Public Health!
Although we can’t celebrate in person right now, we are recognizing the resilience and accomplishments of our graduates with virtual ceremonies (and future plans for in person recognition). With your help, we can make the virtual commencements as personal and memorable as possible. Using the hashtag #UMDgrad and #publichealthTerps, graduating SPH students are encouraged to share their favorite memories, experiences, and messages of hope on social media.
Here are the following ways that Sring 2020 graduates will be celebrated:
UMD Virtual Commencement, May 22, 2020 1:00 p.m.
A virtual ceremony streamed live across multiple platforms, featuring special remarks, and photos, videos and messages crowdsourced from graduates. This ceremony will last approximately 45 minutes.
SPH Virtural Commencement, May 22 (to follow the main university commencement and will be available on the commencement.umd.edu website)
A virtual ceremony celebrating School of Public Health graduates that may be viewed at your convenience (and will be available as soon as the university video ends), featuring special remarks from Dean Boris Lushniak, Dr. Alyssa Todaro Brooks, president of the UMD SPH Alumni Network, photos, videos and messages crowdsourced from graduates and the SPH community. This ceremony will last approximately 20 minutes.
Football Game Recognition, Sept. 12, 2020

Winter Commencement, Dec. 20, 2020
