Consumer Reports: Don't Get the Flu at a Super Bowl Party
School of Public Professor Professor Donald Milton (MIAEH) is one of the experts quoted in a Consumer Reports article about how to protect yourself from the flu at a Super Bowl party. Dr. Milton’s research finds that people with the flu shed contagious virus simply by breathing. The article says that people with even very mild symptoms can still spread the flu virus, so if you’re feeling even slightly under the weather, it’s probably best to stay home. ““If you’ve got the flu, even if you’re not coughing and sneezing, you’re probably infectious and your friends will appreciate it if you don’t expose them,” Dr. Milton says in the article.
