Congratulations to Dr. Shannon Jette for receiving the Graduate Faculty Mentor of the Year Award for 2020.  As described by Steve Fetter, Associate Provost and Dean of the Graduate School, "this Award recognizes faculty members who have made exceptional contributions to a student’s (or students’) graduate experience. This Award serves the dual purposes of acknowledging outstanding mentoring provided by individual faculty and of reminding the university community of the importance of mentoring to graduate studies."

This year, the award received nominations from 216 graduate students for 30 faculty mentors, from which ten faculty were named Graduate Faculty Mentor of the Year. These selections were made from a campus-wide committee comprised of graduate faculty and students.
