Four Alumni named 30 Under 30 by Terrapin Club
Congratulations to four Kinesiology alumni for being named to the Terrapin Club's 30 under 30 list. The Terrapin Club 30 Under 30 program recognizes outstanding Maryland young alumni for their professional lives and embodiment of Maryland Pride.
Sarah Calta ('16) is a former Maryland Softball player, 2016 All Big 10 team selection, 2x Academic Achievement Award Winner and 4x Academic All-Conference Winner who graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology. Sarah is currently working towards her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University. At age 14, Sarah was diagnosed with a bulging disc and was told she needed surgery. Instead of pursuing surgery, she was able to heal with chiropractic treatment which ultimately inspired her to pursue a profession in chiropractic post-college. Sarah’s current goal is to help her future patients achieve optimum health and wellness through chiropractic care.
Racquel Douglas ('14) is currently employed by Uninterrupted, a company owned by Lebron James. Before working for Uninterrupted, Racquel had stints at Nike and the NFL Players Association. In 2018, she was honored by Front Office Sports as "Rising 25 under 25 in the Sports Industry” and selected by the National Sports Forum to be a part of their 2018 Business of Diversity in Sports & Entertainment Cohort. Racquel is a former Maryland Athletics marketing intern and graduated with a degree in Kinesiology.
Cross Klemko ('16) is a seasonal athletic trainer with the New England Patriots where he works tirelessly to insure the health and safety of its athletes. Prior to this position, he spent time interning with the Buffalo Bills doing similar work. Cross earned his degree in Kinesiology in College Park in 2016, before attending Texas A&M for his M.S. in Athletic Training. Cross gew up a Maryland Terrapin fan as his family has held season tickets in both basketball and football for over 20 years.
Eric Savir ('13) currently works for One Real Estate Investment in Miami, Florida where he oversees the firm’s capital markets and debt placement division. Prior to Eric’s five years in the commercial real estate industry, he spent his time in College Park working as a student athletic trainer for the Maryland Women’s Lacrosse Team. He credits much of his perseverance and work ethic to role models such as Head Coach Cathy Reese and current athletic trainer Allie Boll. Outside of work, Savir is involved with the Jewish Federation and Alzheimer’s Association, both organizations which hold a special place in his heart. Eric graduated from the University of Maryland in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, and obtained his MBA from the University of Florida in 2015.
