Public Health Research@Maryland 2014 Highlights
The second annual Public Health Research@Maryland Day was attended by more than 400 academics, students, and public health professionals, as well as three Surgeons General and several leaders from Maryland's state and county health agencies, including MD Health Secretary Joshua Sharfstein. Highlights included: Keynote lectures by Surgeons General David Satcher and Richard Carmona, a research poster session, and panels on the Affordable Care Act, physical activity, HIV/AIDS, cancer prevention and tobacco control.
