Amy Lintner is an academic advisor in the Center for Academic Success and Achievement, working with the student-athlete population in the School of Public Health. She teaches a UNIV100 course in the fall, as being in the classroom is one of her greater joys. Lintner moved here from Iowa, having grown up in Southwest Iowa and spending the last 6 years in Iowa City. She attended the University of Iowa for her undergraduate degree in Global Health and a Master’s in Higher Education and Student Affairs. At CASA, Lintner will put all of the things she liked most during her graduate school career to work with the students she serves. She found a great passion for working with student-athletes, and her love of the field of Public Health allows her to engage with the students immersed in it. “I'm a big proponent of the 'Parallel Plan' - not a plan B or a backup, but a plan that allows you to choose your path,” she said. Lintner enjoys reading, hiking, her vinyl collection, building a mean piece of IKEA furniture, and supporting Big 10 athletics.
