Catherine received a MPH in Behavioral and Community Health from the University of Maryland. Her research interests include health literacy, chronic disease prevention and health inequities. Catherine works as a faculty research assistant in the Herschel S. Horowitz Center for Health Literacy with Dr. Alice M. Horowitz and her work focuses on the impact of oral health literacy on health outcomes and interventions that can minimize the barriers presented by low oral health literacy, especially among low-income women and their young children. Dr. Kerry Green is her program advisor.
