Dr. Colleen (Coke) Farmer received her PhD in exercise physiology from the University of Maryland Department of Kinesiology, an MS in exercise science from Northern Michigan University and a BS in physical education from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Her research focused on the changes in lipid metabolism that occur as a result of chronic exercise. She served in the Peace Corps in the Philippines, and is a dedicated environmentalist and wildlife advocate. Dr. Farmer’s focus is on helping students learn how to change the world a little bit, and lead lives that are interesting, challenging and fun.
