Izidora (Izzie) Skračić is a third-year doctoral student in Maternal and Child Health from Croatia. She earned an M.A. in Human Rights from Central European University and an M.A. in International Humanitarian Action from Uppsala University. During her studies, her research centered on changes in sexual and reproductive health and rights in Croatia over a 15-year period. She went on to work at the European Parliament in Brussels with the Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality. Before moving to the DMV area, Izidora managed a research study about HIV-positive adolescents in South Africa. Izidora’s current research focuses on DE CAN (Delaware Contraceptive Access Now), a program aiming to increase access to all forms of contraception across the state. In her free time, Izidora enjoys musicals, hummus, bitmojis, yoga, bright colors, public parks, foreign languages, and the Oxford comma.
