Dr. Parker earned a Ph.D. in Biostatistics from the University of California, Berkeley, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Institute for Health Policy Studies at the University of California, San Francisco.  Her research areas include data integration, including combining national health survey data with air quality measures and other environmental exposures for studies asthma, cardiovascular disease, and reproductive health.
