Junaed received his BS in Biology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 2010 and his Master’s in Health Sciences with a concentration in Community Health and Health Administration from Towson University in 2013. Junaed has worked with many diverse groups, including state and city governments, nonprofit organizations, and private corporations to conduct surveys, research, and community outreach, as well as health policy and advocacy work. He will be working with Dr. Bradley Boekeloo at the Prevention Research Center in the areas of healthcare access, screenings, and health disparities. Junaed's main research interests include the study of resilience factors among at-risk, inner-city youth, as well as social factors which may adversely affect the health behaviors of individuals.

Junaed is a passionate New England Patriots fan, and also an avid supporter of the Washington Wizards. He loves playing basketball in his free time, and spending time with his wife and his Persian cat, Prince.
