Meshael joined the Department of Behavioral and Community Health as the Academic Advising Graduate Assistant in Summer 2020. She has worked as a Health Educator with Virginia Hospital Center to provide community members with health screenings and health education materials. During her time as a health educator, she performed various health screenings including cholesterol screenings and blood pressure screenings and counseling. She obtained her CHES® certification in 2018. Meshael is passionate about public health issues and hopes to share this by advising Community Health students who will graduate to one day become public health professionals. Meshael is also available to meet with prospective students who are interested in the Community Health major.

Meshael is currently pursuing her Master of Public Health in Behavioral and Community Health in the UMD School of Public Health. Prior to starting her studies at UMD, Meshael graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health from American University in Washington, D.C. Her research areas of interest are disease prevention and health equity. She is excited to be studying and working in the Department of Behavioral and Community Health.
