Naheed Ahmed is a fourth-year Family Science doctoral candidate. She holds a MA in Applied Bio-cultural Anthropology and MPH in Global Communicable Disease from the University of South Florida. Prior to UMD, she worked on global health projects. Some of her work includes family planning, HIV prevention, and cervical cancer. Naheed’s research interests include stigma, discrimination, Islamophobia, and comorbid mental health and medical outcomes. In her free time, Naheed enjoys hiking with her dog, climbing, yoga, and traveling.
