Sally K. Cortez, MPH joined the Center on Young Adult Health and Development at the University of Maryland School of Public Health in December 2019 as a Faculty Assistant for the Maryland Collaborative to Reduce College Drinking and Related Problems. Sally holds a B.S. in Applied Developmental Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh as well as an M.P.H. in Behavioral and Community Health from the University of Maryland, College Park. She spent the past decade with the American Institutes for Research coordinating the development and production of standardized assessments and assessment accommodations. Her research interests include maternal and child health and wellbeing, particularly breastfeeding and lactation and their relationship to health equity and wellness in minority populations.
