Town of Berwyn Heights Partnership

In early 2023, the Berwyn Heights Town Council asked the University of Maryland School of Public Health Office of Public Health Practice & Community Engagement to lead a community needs assessment to define this new sense of community. Central to our Office's approach is sharing power and thus a community-driven approach to tackling the community’s grand challenges was created.

Alongside a dedicated group of residents, the OPHPCE issued a survey to all Berwyn Heights residents and solicited participants for a follow-up listening session. The survey remained open throughout the spring of 2024 and residents joined both in-person and virtual listening sessions to share their experiences living in the Town of Berwyn Heights.
