Location: Virtual
This session builds on the foundations of poster design by moving from concept to execution. After a brief review of audience, framing, template, evidence thresholds, and simulation, participants will focus on the process of transforming the results of an abstract into effective visual elements.
Participants will learn how a mock-up develops into a polished poster as placeholders are replaced with real data. Participants will see three different examples in real time: a descriptive finding, an outcome finding, and a method translated into a visual format. Throughout the session, each design decision will be evaluated with the audience in mind.
By the end of the session, participants will better understand how to refine their poster content and visuals, and will leave with clearer strategies for deciding what to keep, revise, redraw, or remove.
This session is only open to University of Maryland Students
