TEA3 Project

Welcome to the TEA3 Project!

Are you a trans or nonbinary UMD Undergraduate student aged 18-25? 

Consider joining this exciting study that lets you be a part of efforts to reduce sexual violence for trans and nonbinary students on our campus!

We are looking for trans and nonbinary undergraduate students to participate in a groundbreaking new research study where we develop an online sexual assault prevention program specifically designed for trans and nonbinary young adults.

Fall 2026 Link

Participating will give you the opportunity to:

  • Learn self-defense techniques
  • Receive up to $65+ for completing surveys and participating in a focus group
  • Win up to $125 in raffles
  • Have fun with other trans and nonbinary students 
  • Bring a friend if you like!

What is involved?

  • Do a brief screening survey & interview
  • Take an online program with other trans and nonbinary undergraduate students at the University of Maryland
  • Complete online surveys 1-week before and after the program
  • Participate in one focus group with other trans and nonbinary students
