Choosing the right college and major is a big decision, so we are here to help you! Check out the admitted student events below that will help you learn more about UMD and the School of Public Health.

Event Types:
- Admitted Student Open Houses: In-person and virtual programs where you’ll learn more about your admitted major/college and any special programs you may have been invited to; meet faculty, staff and current students; and explore unique student experiences and campus resources. The School of Public Health team will be there!
- SPH Major Showcases: Can’t make it to an Admitted Student Open House? The School of Public Health is hosting showcases where you can experience the featured majors through activities such as student panels, mock classes, research presentations, and/or demos.
- SPH Admitted Student Visits: Can’t make it to an Admitted Student Open House or a SPH Major Showcase? The School of Public Health is hosting visits where you can tour the School of Public Health building and speak with a current student.
- SPH Virtual Events: The School of Public Health is also hosting a virtual out-of-state student panel, parent and family night, and first generation college student panel.
Events for admitted freshman undergraduate students will resume in spring 2026.
