The UMD College of Agriculture and Natural Resources' (AGNR) virtual Sustainable Food Systems Lecture Series is a part of AGNR's strategic initiative to Establish a Healthy Food System and Ensure Global Food and Nutritional Security. This year, the series is centered around topics of food security and equity, with a theme of diversity, equity, inclusion and respect for all in sustainable agriculture.

On Tuesday, April 20th at 6 pm EST, Dr. Stephen Thomas, professor and director of the University of Maryland School of Public Health's Maryland Center for Health Equity will lead a discussion on how urban farming can promote health equity.
