This workshop will present an overview of the necessary skills and available tools and resources for working with data in the context of public health careers. It aims to give data-hesitant students the know-how and confidence to get started exploring data, and advanced students may discover new frameworks and tools as well. Likely topics include a broad brush of: data literacy, data lifecycle and workflow, basic Excel skills, statistical software and programming, data cleaning and manipulation, analysis and visualization, and leveraging AI across all these topics.
