Our educational programs are designed to train students to be exceptional critical thinkers and possess the advanced skills to address public health challenges. We offer an enriching and dynamic student experience characterized by close faculty interaction, a vibrant peer cohort, rigorous academic programs, and exceptional internship/practice opportunities. Our students come from various backgrounds, including federal and state agencies, non-profits, the private sector, and directly from undergraduate studies. They are academically accomplished, fully engaged in their education, and passionate to serve the community.

The department’s partnerships, location in Maryland, a national leader in health care reform, and proximity to Washington, DC provide unrivaled opportunities to engage with decision-making organizations at the forefront of health policy. Our students also have access to prestigious internships at federal and state agencies, as well as with national, state, and local health organizations, hospitals, health systems, insurance companies, and non-profit groups.

We believe in uniting our efforts to empower our students, faculty, and communities to make significant contributions to health policy and management, driving us toward a healthier and more equitable society.
