Public Health Research@Maryland 2017 took place on Thursday, April 6, 2017, at the University of Maryland's Stamp Student Union. The day-long event featured speakers and panel discussions on the theme: Acting for Health Equity. PHRM 2017 also showcased dozens of research posters that displayed student, faculty and external researchers' work, as well as a photo contest open to all participants and networking tables to stimulate collaborations.

A few of the many participating universities and institutions include George Washington, Georgetown, Pittsburgh, University of Texas, UCLA, and the University of British Columbia, along with The Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, Truth Initiative, Eco-Healthy Child Care®, and the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral level presenters received awards.
