The School of Public Health (SPH) Alumni Network is excited to launch the first-ever Public Health Emerging and Engaging Leaders (PHEEL) Award. From this initial nomination cycle, we will select up to 10 outstanding graduates who have received any degree from SPH within the last 10 years* to recognize and celebrate in a unique, (socially-distant!) manner.

To nominate yourself or another SPH graduate, complete the nomination form below which requests a resume/CV and up to two optional letters of recommendation or articles. The nomination form includes three sections: career progression, service and leadership. Nominees will be judged on each of those three criteria by a panel of SPH Alumni Network board members and SPH faculty/staff.

Nomination materials are due on or before December 15th, 2020 and winners will be notified by February 1st, 2021.

PHEEL Awardees will also be considered for the new SPH Early Career Award to be given on April 30, 2021, honoring an alum who has graduated in the last 10 years, is distinguished professionally, and reflects SPH core values.

*Graduated from the UMD School of Public Health between December 2010 and November 2020.
