The Society of Health and Physical Education (SHAPE) has awarded Dr. Cara Grant, program director of the master's certificate in physical education (PE-MCERT), with the SHAPE Maryland Presidential Citation. This award honors individuals for their work serving the Maryland SHAPE organization and the field of physical education.

Ike Ekwunife ’21 is living out a dream he’s had for nearly a decade. In 2012, he watched his cousin graduate from Tufts University. As he watched the student commencement speaker from up in the nosebleeds, he knew that someday he wanted to do just that.

Tripp created the University of Maryland’s Virtual Global Internship Program which has allowed students to gain real world experience with international researchers, organizations and businesses throughout the global pandemic. Cognella, an academic publisher, recognized her contributions with The Cognella Innovation in Teaching Award for Family Science.
