Public Health Research at Maryland 2021

Learning from 2020 to Advance the Public's Health

Our eighth annual Public Health Research at Maryland conference was held virtually from Tuesday, April 13 through Thursday, April 15, 2021.

The event theme—Learning from 2020 to Advance the Public's Health—considered lessons from 2020 related to public health preparedness, social and racial injustice, the dangers of health misinformation, physical inactivity and more.

The keynote lecture: Rebuilding and Reimagining Our Public Health Infrastructure was given by Dr. David Michaels, an epidemiologist and professor at the George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health and author of The Triumph of Doubt: Dark Money and the Science of Deception.
