The School of Public Health will host its Eighth Annual Flu Shot Clinic in the Faculty/Staff Lounge (Room 0393) on Tuesday, October 5th from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm EST. Flu shots are available for registered UMD faculty, staff, and students.
As an added incentive, Dean Boris Lushniak will be donating $1 per vaccine to the School of Public Health Student Emergency Scholarship Fund!
There are no walk-ins accepted.
If you are over the age of 65 and interested in receiving the Fluzone High-Dose Vaccine please email cwaite@umd.edu.

Register for your preferred time slot use the Doodle Poll link. Each time slot accommodates 20 patients, please choose only one of the available slots. Note that you must indicate your intention to participate in advance, this is critical to ensure that adequate clinic staff and vaccination doses are provided.
Please note that the University Health Center indicated that *walk-ins will not be accepted.*
If by any reason you cannot make the time you selected, please delete your response in the doodle poll or email Caitlin Waite (cwaite@umd.edu).
You must upload your insurance card to MyUHC by the day of the clinic in order to receive your flu shot at the on-site clinic. If you have any questions please contact uhc-registration@umd.
- You are required to wear a face mask.
- Recommended attire: a loose sleeve or T-shirt to provide easy access to the injection site (upper arm).
- If you have not uploaded your insurance card to MyUHC, you must provide one of the following acceptable forms of payment at the time of your service:
- For Faculty and Staff: the vast majority of health insurance carriers cover the full cost. Submit a photocopy of your insurance card (front and back) and your UID card. If you are not the subscriber, please specify who the subscriber is (spouse or parent), and write the name and address of the subscriber. The Health Center is in-network with CareFirst BCBS PPO/EPO, United Health Care PPO/EPO, Aetna PPO/EPO, Cigna PPO/EPO, or the SHIP insurance. HMO, Kaiser Permanente, Medicare, and out-of-state Medicaid are not accepted.\
- For Graduate Students: submit a photocopy of your insurance card (front and back) and your UID card. If you are not the subscriber, please specify who the subscriber is (spouse or parent), and write the name and address of the subscriber. The Health Center will submit the claim on your behalf to CareFirst BCBS PPO/EPO, United Health Care PPO/EPO, Aetna PPO/EPO, Cigna PPO/EPO, or the SHIP insurance. HMO, Kaiser Permanente, Medicare, and out-of-state Medicaid are not accepted.
- For Undergraduate Students: submit a photocopy of your insurance card (front and back) and a copy of your UID card. If you are not the subscriber, please specify who the subscriber is (spouse or parent), and write the name and address of the subscriber. The University Health Center will submit the claim on your behalf, otherwise, you will be billed through the Bursar’s Office.
