10 Essential Public Health Services - A Conversation with Dr. Boris Lushniak

The 10 Essential Public Health Services (EPHS) describe the public health activities that all communities should undertake. For the past 25 years, the EPHS have served as a well-recognized framework for carrying out the mission of public health.  The EPHS framework was originally released in 1994 and more recently updated in 2020. The revised version is intended to bring the framework in line with current and future public health practice.

This presentation hosted by the American College of Preventive Medicine (ACPM) will discuss the new EPHSs, the workforce needs and roles, and leadership in public health, and global health. With growing student interest in public health degrees and careers due to COVID-19, the session will discuss how the system will employ graduates of the future and how we can sustain public support for public health and a robust, effective workforce.

This webinar will feature Dean Boris Lushniak, MD, MPH, FACPM and  will be moderated by Sam Shekar, MD, MPH, FACPM.
