Location: SPH Friedgen Family Seminar Room 2236
The talk will be about how we think about bias and error in our studies, and how we often devote a lot of time and energy to things that are actually minor threats to validity while often ignoring things that could produce much bigger errors. Sometimes we even address a potential threat in such a way that we make things worse. The take home message is to identify and confront the biggest threats to study validity and to avoid self-inflicted harms.
