As we recognize September 11th and the National Day of Service and Remembrance, the UMD School of Public Health (SPH) would like to share the public health good they are doing in their communities, as well as the UMD SPH, UMD campus and public health professions.

SPH faculty and staff were asked the question, “What have you been doing to serve your community, school, campus, and profession?” when they assembled virtually to kick off the start of the academic year.

Learn about the many faculty and staff who do public health good every day as we pay tribute on this National Day of Service and Remembrance to the individuals lost and injured in the September 11th attacks, first responders, and the many who have risen in service to defend freedom.

The Happiness and Wellness Initiative shares "some good news" from the SPH and our extended community, inspired by SGN: Some Good News with John Krasinski. You can submit your own good news by email to: happyandwell@umd.edu.
