Ebbie Kalan

Dr. Ebbie Kalan's research centers on understanding health disparities in tobacco product use, designing and evaluating policies and health communication strategies, and assessing how such policies may affect priority populations, including people of color, youth, LGBTQ+ individuals, and people with mental health conditions. His expertise also includes cannabis use and nicotine addiction, with a focus on global tobacco control to reduce cancer and other non-communicable diseases. Dr. Kalan's interdisciplinary approach aims to advance public health knowledge, develop effective interventions, and improve population health outcomes through research ranging from individual-level clinical investigations to broad epidemiological analyses.
