Jo Zimmerman is a senior lecturer in the Department of Kinesiology. She earned her undergraduate and master's degrees from George Mason University and has held the ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist (formerly known as ACSM Health Fitness Specialist) certification since 1996, the NSPA Strength and Conditioning Specialist credential since 2001 and the ACSM Exercise is Medicine credential since 2012. Jo has been working in the health and fitness industry for over 30 years and teaching for over 25 years.
