Noah Triplett grew up in the one-stoplight town of Tyro, N.C., where cows seemed to outnumber people and the hot teen hangout was Walmart.  Pamela I. Clark, Ph.D., a research professor emerita in the University of Maryland School of Public Health’s Department of Behavioral and Community Health, died on May 16 at the age of 77 at home. 

At the annual Maryland Research Excellence Celebration on April 16, more than 200 outstanding scholars and researchers, nominated by their deans, were recognized for their research success and visibility.

As interim chair, Dr. Green will provide academic and strategic leadership and advance the teaching, research, service and outreach missions of the department and School of Public Health. She will succeed Dr. Craig Fryer, who has graciously served as interim chair for more than two years, on December 31.
