On Wednesday, May 11, 2022, SPH faculty and staff convened for the spring assembly which included the annual awards ceremony honoring outstanding teaching, public health practice, service, mentoring and commitment to the school’s success and community. Dr. Elisabeth Maring, associate director of the Global Health Initiative, director of the Global Public Health Scholars Program, faculty advisor for Public Health Beyond Borders and professor of Family Science has added another title: winner of the Donna B. Hamilton Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching.

Four individuals received the Distinguished Terrapin Award, the school's highest honor, and another received the Early Career Award. The awardees were recognized at the Dean's Recognition Ceremony on May 13, 2022 which was attended by members of the SPH Dean's Council, supporters and friends of the school, along with faculty, staff and students.
